Google Introduces Tag Manager for Mobile Apps

Google has launched its Tag Manager for Mobile Apps with its Analytics Services SDK for the Android and iOS platforms. With this new tool, developers will be able to add and modify analytics, remarketing, and conversion tracking tags without having to issue updates.

In addition to supporting Google services such as AdWords, Tag Manager for Mobile Apps also supports custom and 3rd party tracking events using custom tags. Developers can push important events to their native Android and iOS apps at any time as long as they have included the new Google Analytics Services SDK.

This will allow mobile developers to iterate on content and features the way they do with web pages. Currently, making even the slightest change means waiting for the next update to make it way to the various app stores and for the users to download the updates.
