Key Responsibilities

Industry Trends, Research & Objectives Definition

  • Understand key trends in consumer engagement campaigns online and offline, and provide expert guidance internally and to Smartt’s Clients
  • Understand and constantly be up on latest technologies/sites that can help deliver best in practice results for clients
  • Help guide clients define needs and potential solutions
  • Lead the design of insight driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through to experience definition.
  • Develop and oversee metrics to evaluate digital engagement programs for quality and effectiveness
  • Help define scope and recommended approach for small to medium sized clients

Audits & Analysis

  • Provide actionable insights based on clients analytics information
  • Analyze client’s digital market problems and come up with solutions
  • Diagnose website, traffic, and conversion problems

Market Research

  • Create and market research plans for clients
  • Perform primary research for clients
  • Perform secondary research for clients
  • Create market research report for clients

Strategy Creation & Account Planning

  • Provide P.A.C.E. recommendations
  • Create digital roadmap strategy document based on P.A.C.E. recommendations
  • Create Creative Briefs
  • Assist in preparing client proposals, roadmaps, and plans
  • Update Sharepoint with critical project and communication files

Client Training and Education

  • Run client workshops based on Smartt methodology

New Business & Presentations

  • As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition and new business presentations
  • Help structure recommendations to senior client leadership
  • Present recommendations to senior client leadership for approval
  • Actively seek additional projects/new business from client contacts, working with the New Business Developer
  • Represent agency at industry, networking, and communication functions.

Client Activities & Project Management

  • Play an advisory role on client engagements, serving as a digital strategy advisor to both account leads (internal) and clients (external)
  • Assist in SEO, PPC, Social, and Analytics tasks as required
  • Ensure successful project handoff and work is appropriately positioned for long-term success

Bachelor's degree


  • $55,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in digital marketing or strategic marketing consulting across multiple industries
  • In-depth knowledge of at least 3 integrated marketing and digital disciplines (Interaction Design, Copywriting, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Social Media, Web Analytics, Conversion Testing, E-Mail Marketing, and so on)
  • Experience in creating digital roadmaps and business results in the manufacturing, printing, and healthcare industries
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
  • Strong passion for, and knowledge of, digital ,marketing, technology, emerging media, and the Internet
  • Excellent writing skills to create professional documents
  • Ability to work under pressure and with limited direction, at peak performance
  • Exceptional team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly

Annual Salary

$55,000 - $75,000
