- Click on your Start Menu then on Settings then Control panel.
- In your Control Panel double click on Network and Dial up Connections.
- This will bring up a new folder with two icons in it- Make New Connection and Local Area Connection. Right click on Local area Connection and click on Properties.
- The Local Area Connection Properties window should pop up. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) so that it is highlighted then click on Properties.
- In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window select Use the Following IP address and type in the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway IP information that you were given to by Smarttnet.
- Then select Use the following DNS server addresses and type in the following numbers in the proper field:
Perferred DNS server: 69.31.170.249
Alternate DNS server: 69.67.177.249
- Then click OK and OK again. Then restart your computer for the new information to take into effect.
